Key Responsibilities

• Conduct energy audits and site assessments to evaluate energy consumption and efficiency opportunities
• Develop energy management strategies and recommend improvements to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions
• Design, specify, and oversee the installation of energy-efficient systems such as HVAC, lighting, and renewable energy technologies
• Monitor and report on energy usage, performance indicators, and emissions data
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers on sustainable design and construction projects
• Advise clients and stakeholders on energy-saving measures, funding opportunities, and relevant legislation
• Stay up-to-date with advances in energy technology and changes in energy policy
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex data
• Knowledge of energy management systems, renewable energy technologies, and building services engineering
• Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 50001), regulations, and sustainability frameworks
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in using energy modelling and simulation software (e.g., IES, Energy Plus)
• Professional membership of a relevant institution (e.g., Energy Institute) is desirable
